CUSTOM ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS

Satisfaction is the reassurance of a product that is designed, engineered and manufactured well, and at a price that makes the customer feel good about their purchase. For more than 43 years Allegis Corporation has been satisfying customers by converting ideas into full-functioning products. Our principal asset is our inventiveness—our ability to design new products, re-engineer current products and reduce costs through better design.

We have a down-to-earth approach to engineering and design. We learn about our customers and their customers’ product needs, while at each stage addressing aesthetics, ergonomics and usability. Then, our engineering team draws upon a broad range of skills, a wealth of experience and the latest tools to bring ideas to life. We enable our customers to be more competitive and profitable through great product design and engineering.

Product prototyping is a natural extension of our design and engineering capabilities. Using state-of-the-art CAD systems and a variety of prototyping methods, we help our customers get to market quickly, reducing product costs and helping them retain their competitive edge.

From initial ideas generation to the delivery of complete working systems, Allegis design and engineering provides a wide variety of supporting activities to customers. Our prototyping process produces mockups that allow customers to easily test proof-of-concept designs, catching problems before going into production, saving time and money. Sometimes strict performance requirements mean that we need a prototype with the right mechanical physical properties for testing. Other times it is the aesthetic features that are being judged. Whatever the reason, we can choose from a wide range of prototyping processes, including:

    • Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)
    • Metal Sintering
    • Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
    • Stereolithography (SLA)
    • Injection Molding
    • CNC machining

Expanding on our engineering and prototyping services, we offer finite element analysis (FEA) and testing. As new designs are developed our engineers can use FEA software to test structural integrity, reliability, and physical motion of products.

Using FEA simulation during the design phase helps us select the best product design for your application. This also reduces overall product development time and costs, producing an end product of the highest possible quality that “works right out of the box”. In addition to FEA simulation, our engineering team uses an array of testing methods, including:

    • Dynamic and Static Structural Simulation
    • Thermal Simulation
    • Mold Flow Simulation
    • Pull Force testing
    • ASTM B117 Salt Fog Test
    • Dust Chamber cycle
    • IP 65,66
    • UL testing
    • GR487
    • Nema 4,12
    • Rain testing
